You Won’t Believe Why Holder Just Cancelled His Latest Speech

Hundreds are celebrating right now

Though he is, by definition, the nation’s top law enforcement officer, local police are apparently growing tired of Attorney General Eric Holder’s perceived activism and obstructionism as head of the Department of Justice.
That frustration came to a head recently as Holder planned to attend a police academy graduation ceremony in Oklahoma City. Hundreds of protesters, consisting of local law enforcement, legislators, and other advocates, showed up prior to the appointed address to demand Holder face punishment for alleged crimes committed during his time at the helm of the agency.
Protest organizer Bob Dani declared “Eric Holder is in contempt of Congress right now,” explaining that his mishandling of at least two scandals – the ‘Fast and Furious’ gunrunning operation and the IRS targeting of conservative groups – is enough to prove his accusation.
Amid growing demands that he be arrested upon his arrival at the event, a DOJ spokesperson released a statement indicating Holder had cancelled the appearance.
“The attorney general had been looking forward to addressing the cadets,” Brian Fallon said, “and regrets he cannot attend in person. He extends his heartfelt congratulations to the cadets and their families.”
In the eyes of many protesters, his last-minute decision is validation of their efforts.
“Our protest has turned into a victory celebration because we frankly didn’t want him here,” said Oklahoma Rep. Paul Wesselhoft, “and we succeeded.”
Another protester, Carla Russell, explained Holder cancelled his trip “because he’s a chicken,” explaining he “doesn’t want to be recorded with people protesting against him with signs like mine.”
Her sign, by the way, declared “Holder is a Terrorist.”
As Wesselhoft explained, Holder “has used his position to advance his own political agenda, and that’s not right. He swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution and defend it for all of us – not some of us.”
BizPac Review pointed out the perceived irony of a man who, in 2009, described America as “essentially a nation of cowards” now cancelling an appearance ostensibly because of the unfriendly reception he would have received.

Cantor calls for Special Prosecutor for Lerner, IRS scandal

Cantor calls for Special Prosecutor for Lerner, IRS scandal

The House will vote next week on a resolution demanding that Attorney General Eric Holder appoint a special prosecutor to look into the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS, and specifically, Lois Lerner. There will also be a vote on whether to formally hold Lerner in contempt of Congress.
The Hill:
House Republicans plan to vote next week on a resolution that would urge Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the IRS’s improper scrutiny of Tea Party groups.
In a statement announcing the vote, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Republicans have no faith in the investigation that is already being carried out at the Justice Department.
“It is time for Attorney General Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate the IRS targeting scandal and bring the appropriate charges against those responsible,” Cantor said in a statement.

“This is far too serious a matter to leave to the discretion of partisan political appointees no matter who is in the White House.”

Almost a year after the IRS controversy broke, House Republicans say that President Obama, Holder and other important members of the administration repeatedly have undercut the investigation into the agency’s treatment of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.
Republicans have been angry for months that one of the key Justice Department lawyers on the IRS case has given thousands of dollars to Democratic causes, including Obama.
“We need this special counsel to help us get to the truth because the so-called investigation by the Justice Department has been a joke,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who introduced a resolution Friday calling for the special prosecutor.
“The current investigation has no credibility because it is being headed by a maxed-out donor who is financially invested in the president’s success,” Jordan added. “This resolution calls for a real investigation by an unbiased investigator to get to the truth and hold those responsible for this illegal targeting accountable for their actions.”
Several top Republicans involved in the congressional investigations into the IRS, including House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), joined on to Jordan’s resolution.
The resolution comes the same day that Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced he would seek a select committee to investigate the 2012 attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead, another sign that Republicans are seeking to keep the heat on the administration this election year.
Democrats are complaining that the IRS has already been investigated and the administration has been cleared of wrongdoing. Considering who conducted the "investigation" - the Justice Department - one is hardly filled with confidence that a thorough job was done.
Unfortunately, the resolution won't change Holder's mind. About the best the GOP can hope for, is that the contempt citation against Lerner will convince her to testify and that some previously hidden evidence is brought to light. Otherwise, it just a PR exercise and nothing will come of it.

The question remains: Where are the Benghazi survivors?

The question remains: Where are the Benghazi survivors?

Bloodstains from a US employee who grabbed a column while being evacuated from Benghazi consulate
One of the most basic unanswered questions remaining after the horrific attack in Benghazi on Sept 11, 2012 surrounds the Americans who survived that night.
About three weeks after the terror attack, a father of one of the survivors, Rex Ubben, said “people understood ‘mistakes and lack of foresight do happen,’ but, ‘to attempt to delay or cover information up, upcoming election or no, might put other people’s lives at risk and fools no one.’”
Further, he said his son David “described the violence on Sept. 11 as ‘obviously an attack and not a riot.’” But few of the other survivors have been interviewed or identified. Where are they? There have been some little-noticed, but striking allegations made surrounding the Benghazi survivors.
In December 2012, Rep. Jason Chaffetz said,
“My understanding is that we still have some people in the hospital. I’d like to visit with them and wish them nothing but the best but the State Department has seen it unfit for me to know who those people are—or even how many there are.”
In January 2013, during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified that there were 25-30 survivors and that she only spoke to one of them (it would not be a stretch to believe that she spoke with David Ubben). She said,
“I‘ve spoken to one of them, but I waited until after the ARB [Accountability Review Board] had done its investigation because I did not want there to be anybody raising any issue that I had spoken to anyone before the ARB conducted its investigation.”
The transcript can be found here.
Watch the exchange:
In March 2013, Chaffetz said he managed to speak with one of the fathers of the survivors but was told:
“Yes, this person is at the Bethesda Naval Hospital, but you will not be able to find him because the State Department changed his name on all his records.”
In March 2013, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said,
“The White House is certainly not preventing anybody from having any access to the survivors of the Benghazi attack.”
When pressed further, Carney said,
“Cooperation with and briefing of members of Congress continues in the investigation, as appropriate, and has been in keeping with the incredible amount of cooperation we have provided to Congress, and all of their inquiries with regard to the Benghazi matter.”
In March 2013, John Kerry was asked by Fox News correspondent James Rosen why nobody has “heard from” the Benghazi survivors. Kerry stumbled through the answer, saying
“Well, I – I mean, I can’t tell you the answer to that.”
Rosen pressed John Kerry on the issue by asking, “Will we hear from them?” Kerry responded:
“I can’t tell you – I don’t know what the circumstances are of any requests to talk to them or not.”
In April 2013, Kerry was asked about the status of the Benghazi survivors again by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
“We have made request after request…just to get the list of the names of the people who were evacuated from Benghazi and we haven’t even gotten that…”
John Kerry responded by saying in part,
“I can promise you that if you’re not getting something that you have evidence of or you think you ought to be getting, we’ll work with you. And I will appoint somebody to work directly with you starting tomorrow, with you, Mr. Chairman, to have a review of anything you don’t think you’ve gotten that you’re supposed to get…we got a lot more important things to move on to and get done.” [emphasis added]
In May 2013, former US deputy chief of mission in Libya Gregory Hicks named some of the survivors during testimony (prompting Darrell Issa to ultimately issue subpoenas for Alec Henderson and John Martinec. As reported at the LA Times, “On Oct. 8, Henderson was interviewed for eight hours. Martinec went next, for five hours on Oct. 10. No prosecutors or FBI agents were allowed inside. But the witnesses were accompanied by their attorneys.”)
In July 2013,  Rep. Frank Wolf made this bold claim on the House floor:
“According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDAs, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer.”
Watch his statement here:
In July 2013, Senator Ron Johnson questioned Victoria Nuland about the Benghazi survivors during her confirmation hearing before a Senate panel. He said,
“Unfortunately, there are an awful lot of questions that still remain about what happened following Benghazi, and quite honestly, before it. For example, we still have not been given the names or access to the survivors…”
In August 2013, CNN reported that a source said there were 35 survivors of the attack.
“Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.” [Emphasis added]
The source told CNN,
“You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”
In September 2013, the father of Navy SEAL Tyrone woods, Charles, said that one of the survivors, “Information Officer Peterson,” reached out to Mr. Woods after the attack and told the grieving father that “Ty” saved his life. Mr. Woods said that Peterson “sent a very touching email and on two occasions we did get to visit.”  However, Charles Woods explained that he has since been unable to contact him. He said that his email and phone are no longer available.
In September 2013, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa wrote a letter to Secretary of State, John Kerry, Issa wrote,
“The survivors of the attacks are the only people who can give testimony to the Committee about what happened on the ground in Benghazi. Details provided by the survivors will not only help the Committee determine what took place during the attack, but will also help the Committee and other interested parties determine ways to prevent future tragedies.”
In September 2013, CIA director John Brennan said his agency would “facilitate meetings between CIA-affiliated personnel in Benghazi and congressional oversight committees.”
In September 2013, Sharyl Attkisson tweeted, “Secy Kerry tells congress he will not honor the request to make Benghazi survivors available for questioning.”
In October 2013, Catherine Herridge of Fox News reported that the State Department refused to release transcripts of the interviews initially conducted by the FBI with the survivors. She wrote,
“The Justice and State departments are now citing a year-old FBI investigation and a future criminal prosecution to block access to survivors of last year’s Benghazi terror attack.” Herridge continued, “[Senator Lindsey] Graham has been asking since last year for the FBI’s transcripts of interviews with State Department and CIA survivors who were evacuated to Germany after the Sept 11 attack on the U.S. consulate.”
In October 2013, Assistant Secretary of State Julia Frifield wrote a letter to Graham, saying in part that the State Department has “serious concerns about having the survivors of the attack submit to additional interviews.”
In November 2013, Rep. Ed Royce of the Committee of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry asking for access to the survivors.
In January 2014, declassified documents redacted the number of Benghazi survivors:
“In September 2012, there were three Diplomatic Security agents assigned to the Temporary Mission Facility, while there were nine security officers out of a total of [redacted] individuals at the CIA Annex.”
Last month, Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Kelly Ayotte held a press conference regarding the unanswered questions surrounding the terror attack. They said,
“We do not know why the FBI has not released to Congress the FBI interviews of the Benghazi survivors.”
Yesterday, Darrell Issa tweeted,
A State Department official told the Huffington Post that the “department is ‘surprised’ by Issa’s subpoena, given State officials have been ‘cooperating all along with the committee.’” The official snidely remarked that Kerry “is scheduled to be in Mexico on May 21,” and Issa’s committee “would have known if they had reached out to us instead of issuing a subpoena by tweet.”
Because Dude, this was like, two years ago.

The Number Of Working Age Americans Without A Job Has Risen By 27 MILLION Since 2000

The Number Of Working Age Americans Without A Job Has Risen By 27 MILLION Since 2000

The Economic Collapse
May 4, 2014
Did you know that there are nearly 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now?
Image: American Unemployment (Wiki Commons).
And20 percent of all families in the United States do not have a single member that is employed. So how in the world can the government claim that the unemployment rate has “dropped” to “6.3 percent”? Well, it all comes down to how you define who is “unemployed”. For example, last month the government moved another 988,000 Americans into the “not in the labor force” category. According to the government, at this moment there are 9.75 million Americans that are “unemployed” and there are 92.02 million Americans that are “not in the labor force” for a grand total of 101.77 million working age Americans that do not have a job. Back in April 2000, only 5.48 million Americans were unemployed and only 69.27 million Americans were “not in the labor force” for a grand total of 74.75 million Americans without a job. That means that the number of working age Americans without a job has risen by 27 million since the year 2000. Any way that you want to slice that, it is bad news.
Well, what about as a percentage of the population?
Has the percentage of working age Americans that have a job been increasing or decreasing?
As you can see from the chart posted below, the percentage of working age Americans with a job has been in a long-term downward trend. As the year 2000 began, we were sitting at 64.6 percent. By the time the great financial crisis of 2008 struck, we were hovering around 63 percent. During the last recession, we fell dramatically to under 59 percent and we have stayed there ever since…
Employment Population Ratio April 2014
And the numbers behind this chart also show that employment in America did not increase last month.
In March, 58.9 percent of all working age Americans had a job.
In April, 58.9 percent of all working age Americans had a job.
Things are not getting worse (at least for the moment), but things are also definitely not getting better.
The month that Barack Obama entered the White House, we were in the midst of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression and only 60.6 percent of all working age Americans had a job.
Since only 58.9 percent of all working age Americans have a job now, that means that the employment situation in America is still significantly worse than it was the day Barack Obama took office.
So don’t let anyone fool you with talk of an “employment recovery”. It simply is not happening. The official unemployment rate bears so little relation to economic reality at this point that it has essentially become meaningless.
Look, how in the world can we have an “unemployment rate” of just “6.3 percent” when 20 percent of all American families do n0t have a single member that is working?
Here is how that 20 percent figure was arrived at
A family, as defined by the BLS, is a group of two or more people who live together and who are related by birth, adoption or marriage. In 2013, there were 80,445,000 families in the United States and in 16,127,000—or 20 percent–no one had a job.
So if one out of every five families is completely unemployed, then why is the official government unemployment rate not up at Great Depression era levels?
Could it be that the government is manipulating the numbers to make them look much better than they actually are?
Why don’t they just go ahead and get it over with? They can just define every American that is not working as “not in the labor force” and then we can have “0.0 percent unemployment”. Then we can all have a giant party and celebrate how wonderful the U.S. economy is.
And don’t be fooled by the “288,000 jobs” that were added to the U.S. economy last month. For workers under the age of 55, the number of jobs actually dropped by a whopping 259,000.
If we were using honest numbers, the official unemployment rate would look a lot scarier. John Williams of shadowstats.com has calculated that the unemployment rate should be about 23 percent. I don’t think that is too far off.
Meanwhile, the quality of the jobs in our economy continues to go down. The House Ways and Means Committee says that seven out of every eight jobs that have been “added” to the economy under Barack Obama have been part-time jobs. But you can’t raise a family or plan a career around a part-time job. To be honest, it is very hard for a single person to even survive on a part-time wage in this economic environment.
As the quality of our jobs goes down, so do our incomes. The median household income has declined for five years in a row, and the middle class is falling apart.
Without middle class incomes, you can’t have a middle class. Considering what we have been watching happen, it should be no surprise that the homeownership rate in the United States has dropped to the lowest level in 19 years or that the number of Americans receiving money from the government each month exceeds the number of full-time workers in the private sector by more than 60 million.
For many more statistics like this, please see my previous article entitled “17 Facts To Show To Anyone That Believes That The U.S. Economy Is Just Fine“.
At a gut level, most Americans understand that things are much worse than they used to be.
The Pew Research Center recently asked people what “class” they consider themselves to be. The results were shocking.
Back in 2008, only 25 percent of all Americans considered themselves to be “lower middle class” or “poor”.
Earlier this year, an astounding 40 percent of all Americans chose one of those designations.
We are in the midst of a long-term economic decline, and no amount of propaganda is going to change that.
But based on the “happy numbers” being trumpeted by the mainstream media, the Federal Reserve is slowly bringing their quantitative easing program to an end.
When quantitative easing is finally totally cut off, we shall see how the financial markets and the U.S. economy perform without artificial life support.
Personally, I don’t think that it is going to be pretty.

Man allegedly claims Islamic Law gives him to right to kill wife

AVONDALE, Ariz. - Police say a valley man threatened to kill his wife, telling his victim "Islamic Law" gave him the right to kill her.

Ansar Muhammad, 43, is facing several charges, including assault and imprisonment.

According to the police report, on April 26, Muhammad sexually assaulted the victim, held her against her will while threatening to kill her, punched and strangulated her, causing physical injuries at their home near 112th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.

Police say the victim fled to a neighbor's home to call them after the suspect fell asleep.

Muhammad was detained outside his residence upon police arrival and refused to make any statements.

In the report, police say their investigation determined that Muhammad and the victim were arguing about her having an affair when "Ansar picked the victim up, carrying her like a baby and put her in their vehicle against her will."  He then proceeded to drive to the rear of a nearby Walgreens store where "Ansar began to assault the victim by punching her multiple times, leaving physical injuries on her face, neck, back, chest and legs."

When the victim continued to try to get away and told him to stop, police say he told the victim he was going to kill her because he had the right due to his "Islamic Belief."

The victim told police Muhammad then drove back to their home and threatened to throw her in a lake because she can't swim.  When they arrived at the residence, Muhammad told the victim to remain quiet and not wake their three children before taking her phone, per the police report.

Muhammad was arrested and booked into the Avondale city jail and later transported to the Maricopa County jail.  He faces aggravated assault domestic violence-impede breathing, assault-intent/reckless/injury, unlawful imprisonment, threatening-intimidation with injury and sexual assault charges.

He's being held without bond.

Man Commits Gruesome Assault On His Wife, Claims It’s His ‘Islamic Right’ To Kill Her

In Arizona, a 43-year-old man named Ansar Muhammad is facing an array of charges after threatening to kill his wife. However Muhammad claims that “Islamic Law” allowed him to do just that.
Charges against Muhammad include assault and imprisonment for punching, strangling, and sexually assaulting his wife.
Luckily, the victim was able to escape and flee to a nearby home where she called the police. According to the police report, the couple was arguing about an alleged affair.
The report includes some gruesome details of the attack, during which Muhammad put his wife in a vehicle against her will, and began to physically assault her. When she tried to leave, Muhammad told her he could kill her, due to his “Islamic belief.”
His wife was left with multiple bruises and other minor injuries from the incident.
What do you think Muhammad’s punishment should be?
